Easylin omega-3 fatty acids

Easylin omega-3 fatty acids is just like spring grass rich in omega-3 fatty acids. When a cow grazes on a spring pasture, she eats up to 300 grams of omega-3 a day.

Around calving, feed intake decreases. At the same time, energy and protein requirements increase significantly. Energy intake is insufficient and the cow mobilizes body reserves. Consequences of the negative energy balance are

fatty liver and weakened immune system, resulting in diseases such as mastitis and metritis.

The nutritional value of Easylin consists of:

  • VEM: 2217 kgds

  • DVE: 173 gr/kg ds

  • OEB: 47 gr/kg ds

  • Sugars: 48 g/kg DM

  • Dry matter: 90%

  • Crude protein: 250 g/kg DM

  • Crude fat: 250 g/kg DM

Easylin improves the condition of the liver, for a better natural immune response, fertility and milk production.

How do you prevent these health problems?

  • Actively manage body condition at the end of lactation and during the dry period

  • Prevent a negative energy balance around calving

  • Ensure low triglycerides and high glycogen for rapid energy storage

Effects of adding Easylin during the transition period

Ketosis

Ketosis is the cow's response to a negative energy balance. This metabolic disorder is not very visible and is often underestimated. Ketosis is common and underestimated. More than 25% of cows are affected. The costs of ketosis are between €250 and €600 per cow, per lactation, for both direct and indirect costs.

The omega-3 fatty acids in Easylin reduce the risk of ketosis, for a better start to lactation.

Corn and soy based feed contains too many omega-6 fatty acids. This leads to:

  • Hormonal imbalance

  • Inconspicuous heat

  • Embryo death

The Easylin diet contains mainly omega-3 fatty acids. This stimulates:

  • Balanced hormone synthesis

  • Expression of heat

  • Good development of the embryo

An increase in omega-3 fatty acids in the feed provides more energy. So there is more energy available for milk production. This is due to the fermentation of VFA C2-C4 to C3. This reduces the emission of methane, acetates and butyrates. Also, less saturated fatty acids are produced in the udder.

Easylin with Omega 3 fatty acids increases milk production by up to 2 litres per day, per cow!
